The Abó Ruins are one of the archaeological sites contained within Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument. The mission church that the site held was built in the early 17th century and is now reduced to only ruins. It was built by early Spanish Franciscan missionaries on the quest to convert the indigenous peoples to Christianity.
